Cell Phone Mugging

A 25-year-old man was mugged by a thief who pretended to have a gun.

The man was standing on Bedford Avenue Between Lincoln and St. Johns Place on Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m., when a man of about 20 came up to him, pretended he had a gun, took his iPhone and ran off. The report did not say what the thief did to suggest that he had a gun.

Marijuana Arrest

A 27-year-old man was charged with marijuana possession after a cop on routine patrol saw him smoking a marijuana cigar in the building’s stairwell on Monday, Jan. 16 at 8:20 p.m. in a building on Washington Avenue between St. Johns and Lincoln places.

 

Crack Cocaine Arrest

A 44-year-old man was charged with drug possession after a cop stopped him for riding his bike on the sidewalk and then found a bag of crack cocaine on him. Cops also discovered that the man had on open arrest warrant from last year. The arrest took place on Sterling Place between Underhill and Washington on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 11:40 a.m.
