Police Blotter: A Peeping Tom, Assault, More

Reports from the 77th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the 77th Precinct of the NYPD. It does not indicate a conviction.

Teenager Robbed

A 15-year old-girl was pushed to the ground and robbed as she walked along Eastern Pkwy. and Washington Ave. on the night of August 15. The robber snatched an Ipod and $20 from the victim, then fled into a building on Eastern Pkwy. Police searched the area and the victim was able to positively identify the thief. An 18-year-old man was arrested on the scene, and both items were recovered and returned.

Attempted Robbery Foiled by Register

An unknown man attempted to hold up a store on Washington Ave. and Sterling Pl. on the evening of August 18. The thief threatened the cashier and yelled at him to "open up the register." When the cashier was unable to do so, the thief fled the scene without taking anything.

 

Assaulter Arrested

An assault occured on the night of August 17 inside an apartment located on Park Pl. and Vanderbilt Ave. The victim returned home from visiting his sister, when he got into a dispute with an unknown man. The 26-year-old-victim was pushed to the ground and then choked, causing visible injuries to his upper body. A 37-year-old man was arrested immediately after the incident.

 

Neighborhood Peeping Tom

A 51-year-old woman awoke in the middle of the night on August 15 to find an unidentified man peeping through her window on her fire escape in her apartment building, located on St. John's Pl. and Underhill Ave. The man fled down the fire escape in an unknown direction and police have been unable to track down any new clues.
