New Details Emerge on Labor Day Shootout [VIDEO]

A new video released by the 77th precinct shows the grisly scene unfold.

Police at the 77th precinct have released a surveillance video that details that killed Crown Heights residents Eusi Johnson, 29, and Dense Gay, 56, and injured two police officers.

The gunman, Leroy Webster, 32, is currently in custody on charges of second degree murder and attempted murder.

In the video, Johnson is seen running from an apartment building on Park Place, after being shot once in the neck by Webster. After Johnson leaves the building, Webster is seen running after him and firing another round at him. Webster then returns to the front door and begins to shoot at the responding police officers.

According the video, Webster falls after the police return fire, then raises his gun and shoots again. Webster is then struck by police gunfire and arrested. 

Johnson died from a gunshot wound to the neck and Gay, an innocent bystander who was sitting on her nearby stoop with her daughter, was hit in the head by a stray bullet fired from Webster’s gun. She was also pronounced dead when emergency responders arrived at the scene.

NYPD officers Avichaim Dicken and Omar Medina were taken to Brookdale and Methodist hospitals for injuries, and both were in stable condition.
