Minor Injuries After Car Hits Man on Classon Avenue
Pedestrian hit in the head by car's side-view mirror as he was crossing at Prospect Place, officials said.
A man was sent to Methodist Hospital with minor injuries after he was hit by an SUV in the intersection of Classon Avenue and Prospect Place, officials said.
The victim, who appeared to be intoxicated, was hit in the head by the side-view mirror of the vehicle, a police officer at the scene said.

He was taken to the hospital with cuts to the face just after 8 p.m., according to the FDNY.
The driver, who was shaken-up but grateful that the victim's injuries weren't worse, said he saw the pedestrian and swerved but was unable to avoid hitting him completely.
