The information below is supplied from the 77th and 78th precincts of the NYPD. The information in no way indicates that suspects have been convicted.

Thwarted Robbery

A 21-year-old man fought back a pair of thieves who tried to hold him up with a toy pistol in an early morning mugging last week.

The man was on the corner of Underhill Avenue and Bergen Street when two men came up to him, one of them brandishing the pretend weapon. They demanded his wallet and other valuables, but the man grabbed the gun instead and the pair fled.

The attempted mugging took place on Thursday, May 16, just before 2:30 a.m.

Subway Punch-and-Grab

Two violent thieves punched a man in the face and stole his iPhone at the Grand Army Plaza subway stop on May 17.

The 23-year-old victim told police that he got on a northbound 4 train at Franklin Avenue at around 3:45 a.m. and when the train pulled into Grand Army Plaza, two men came up to him, punched him in the face, stole his iPhone and ran out of the station.

The victim described his attackers as two 20-year-old black men, one standing 5-foot-11, 120 pounds, with short black hair cut in the “Caesar” style, while the other was about 5-foot-9, 190 pounds, wearing black jeans and black sneakers. The crooks got away with the victim’s iPhone 5.

Eastern Parkway Drunk Driving Accident

A 30-year-old woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after a blood alcohol test came back at more than twice the legal limit.

The arrest came as a result of an accident on Eastern Parkway between Washington and Underhill on May 19, shortly before 3 a.m.

The crash did not cause any serious injuries, and the woman duly waited for cops to come.
But when they arrived, the woman looked enough like she had been drinking to warrant a blood alcohol test. The first one, given at the scene, came back at 0.17. The second, back at the station, showed a level of 0.152. The legal limit is .08.

Underhill Avenue Bike Theft

A 31-year-old woman reported that someone stole her  Gary Fisher Tassajara bike, worth about $450, along with her trek helmet, from the corner of Underhill Avenue and St. Johns Place, where she left it locked overnight on May 19.

Knife Waver Arrested
A 52-year-old man was arrested at the Corner of Classon Avenue and Prospect Place after a cop saw him wave a knife in front of a man. As cops approached the thug, the victim fled. The man was arrested at the scene of the crime and charged with menacing.
The arrest took place on May 14 at 12:40 p.m.
