Man Smashes Window at James Restaurant—Again!

Man who smashed window in January returned to do it again, owner said.

 

For the second time in three months a man broke front window of restaurant with a hammer, said James co-owner Deborah Williamson. 

The most recent incident happened at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 13, at the restaurant, located on the corner of Carlton Avenue and St. Marks, according to a police report.

On , who Williamson said was about 40, had an argument with a staff member over the service. He left, but then came back just before 7:30 p.m. wielding a hammer. After breaking the window he took off down Carlton towards Flatbush. 

The second time the man showed up and broke the window without any additional contact with the restaurant, Williamson said.

There were no injuries from either incident, according to police reports.

Witnesses are working with police to identify the man, Williamson said.
