Man Shot on St. Johns Place

The 18-year-old was shot early Sunday morning on St. Johns Place between Washington and Classon avenues.

 

On Sunday at 1:35 a.m., a man shot an 18-year-old hip, an NYPD spokesman said. 

The victim, who was gunned down while standing between Washington and Classon avenues, was taken to New York Methodist Hospital.

The NYPD are now looking for the suspected shooter, who was described as a black male wearing a blue shirt and khaki shorts, police said.

Correction, June 25, 4:10 p.m.: An NYPD spokeswoman said that the teen was grazed in the hip, not the leg. In addition, police could not confirm the direction the suspect was seen running. The story above has been corrected and the direction the suspect fled removed.
