Update: Man Charged in Triple Shooting

Kevon Brown, 30, of Lenox Road, has been charged with five counts of attempted murder following a triple shooting Sunday afternoon in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

A man has been charged with five counts of attempted murder following a triple shooting Sunday in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, police said. 

Kevon Brown, 29, of Lenox Road, was also charged with three counts of assault one day after a frenzied shooting that sent three victims to the hospital, one in critical condition. 

Events began just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Lenox Road between Flatbush and Bedford, when Brown allegedly shot two men, aged 25 and 42, according to the cops.  

When a pair cops who were patrolling nearby ran over, Brown allegedly fired at them and then began to run down the street. The cops were not hit and didn't fire back, police said.  

As Brown ran down the block he encountered a 24-year-old man. First he threatened the man, then they struggled. Then Brown allegedly fired, grazing this third victim in the neck before running off, cops say.

All three victims were taken to Kings County Hospital. The 25-year-old was shot in the body was was in stable condition Sunday night. The 24-year-old was also in stable condition.  The 42-year-old was hit in the body and the leg and was in critical condition Sunday night, police said.
