Man Hit by Train at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center Station

Victim taken to Kings County Hospital with injuries after a Northbound 4 or 5 train hit him during the evening rush hour.

Update: Nov. 6, 2 p.m.: Police said the man was in critical condition when he was taken to the hospital. They do not have a current condition on him.

A man was hit by a northbound 4 or 5 train at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station during rush hour Monday, an MTA spokeswoman said.

The man fell on the tracks just before 4:37 p.m. and was taken to Kings County Hospital with injuries to his hand and leg, an FDNY spokesman said. 

Several train lines were disrupted for more than an hour, snarling the evening rush hour. As of 6:30 p.m. the lines were running again with 4 and 5 trains bypassing Atlantic Avenue in both directions.
