Man Charged in Crown Heights Murder

Dayshawn Walkin was charged with shooting Jermaine Benjamin to death on June 25 on St. John's Place and between Troy and Schenectady avenues.

This is in Crown Heights quite far from Prospect Heights, but I thought people might want to know that cops have charged a man with the murder.

Here are the specifics, directly from the NYPD:

On Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at approximately 2339 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 1316 Saint Johns Place, within the confines of the 77 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a M/B/31 with gunshot wounds to the torso. EMS also responded to the location and removed the victim to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA.
