Man Beaten With Metal Rod on Classon

Thug hits 26-year-old in the head until he falls to the ground and then punches him.

A 26-year-old man was beaten in a random attack on Classon Avenue last week.

The man was walking between Lincoln and St. Johns places just before 11 p.m. when a man hit him on the back of the head and neck with a metal broom handle. He kept hitting the man until he fell to the ground. Then the man punched him in the face and left without robbing him, according to a police report.

The victim had a bloody nose and welts on the back of his neck, but refused medical attention. He described the attacker as a black man of about 20 standing 5-foot-10 and weighing about 200 pounds, the report said.
