Fire at Dawn Laundromat

No injuries in the early-evening blaze.

 

A fire broke out Thursday evening at .

There were no injuries caused by the blaze at 754 Washington Ave. between Park and Sterling places, an FDNY spokeswoman said.

About 60 firefighters battled the fire, which began just before 5:15 p.m. It was under control by 5:49 p.m.

The people who live in the apartments above the laundromat told an American Red Cross representative that they were able to stay in their apartments, a spokesman for the organization said.

This is the third fire on Washington Avenue in the past year (and luckily, not anywhere near as serious as the previous two). On May 27, a  after a fire broke out at 767 Washington Ave. between Sterling and St. Johns places, and on June 4, a  of a four-story building of 816 Washington Ave.
