Fire at Clean Rite Laundromat

There were no injuries after a fire broke out at the laundromat at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Rochester Avenue this afternoon.

A fire broke out at Clean Rite laundromat at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Rockchester Avenue this afternoon, but is now under control, according to the FDNY.

About 60 firefighters and 12 trucks responded to the blaze, which broke out just before 3:45 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

Firefighters suspect the fire began in one of the dryers, the spokesman said.

There were no reported injuries from the fire, which was under control at 4:03 p.m., according to the FDNY.
