UPDATED: Double Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured
A shooting on Dean Street leaves one victim dead.
Update: Dec. 27, 2:15 pm: The NYPD idenified Pacific Street resident Kenny Hodges, 24, as the shooting victim.
A 24-year-old man was pronounced dead tonight after suffering a gunshot wound to the groin. A second victim, a 23-year-old black man, is in stable condition at Kings County Hospital after suffering gunshot wounds to the hand and to the head.

At about 7:22 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, NYPD responded to a 911 call at the first floor hallway of a Dean Street residence, at the corner of Troy Avenue, discovering the two victims. Emergency Medical Services transported Hodges to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, and the second victim to Kings County Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
Identity of the second victim is pending proper family notification.
