Drunk, Asleep … and Blocking Traffic

A 31-year-old man was charged with intoxicated driving after cops saw his Land Rover parked in the middle of the intersection of Classon and Atlantic avenues early in the morning on Saturday, June 29.

The man reeked of alcohol and a Breathalyzer test at the scene resulted in a score of .136 percent, well over the limit of .08 percent. Cops also discovered that the man's license was suspended.

Vandalism on Dean Street

A 61-year-old man told cops that someone got into his van and broke his gear shifter. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle, which was parked on Dean Street between Vanderbilt and Underhill. The man discovered the vandalism on May 18 at 4:40 a.m.  

Radiator Snatch (Really)

Two men came into Park Place Coffee Shop, located between Classon and Franklin avenues and told the barista that her boss had told them that they could have the radiator that was in front of the shop. The woman called her boss, who denied the story, so the men took the radiator and drove off in a white van. The theft took place on April 15 at 9:43 a.m.
