13 Exotic Animals Removed From Dean Street Home

Pythons, alligators, a boa constrictor and other illegal reptiles were removed after a six-month investigation, police said.

Multiple large exotic reptiles and insects were removed from a Prospect Heights home Friday afternoon, following a six-month investigation of a resident suspected of harboring exotic animals.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. members of the 77th Precinct, joined by a team from Animal Care and Control, removed 13 animals from a home inside Weeksville Houses, including the following:

6 Snakes- 1 Boa Constrictor, 5 Pythons

2 Bearded Dragons

2 Alligators

1 Gecko

1 Scorpion

1 Tarantula
