Parents also may text “nycmeals to 877877, or visit the Parks Department’s website for locations in parks and pools. Breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  During the weekends only lunch is served.
    

The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture in conjunction with the Brooklyn Museum will host a forum on Save Our African American Treasures as follows:

I'm pleased to inform you that with the help of so many of you who assisted with circulating petitions, I'm officially on the ballot for the New York City Council - 35th Districtin the Democratic Primary which will be held on Tuesday, September 10th.  I'm deeply grateful for your support and please stay tuned for more good news.    


 The 3rd NYC Climate Justice Youth Summit: Frontline Resistance is around the corner!!  After SuperStorm Sandy we witnessed what climate change will look like for our communities and its just the beginning. You are invited to make this information available to the young people at your organizations and register them to join this powerful gathering of young people.  The NYC Climate Justice Youth Summit will be hosting learning circles, interactive panel discussions, performances, and much more! 
The goal is to engage YOUth, age 12-24, to start building local community resilience and becoming their community's frontline resistance to climate change. Food, giveaways, concerts, agencies, organizations, and other groups who would be able to offer internships, fellowships, and potential employment will be at the Summit. The NYC Climate Justice Youth Summit is completely free of charge
