- Many of you have reached out to me to inquire about how to become a  POLL WORKER and if it is mandatory to join a local political club/organization.  Please note that in accordance with the rules and regulations of the New York City Board of Elections, you may apply directly online here and you may click here for an overview of the various poll worker positions.      

 

- Special Thanks to those of you who attended the forum I sponsored yesterday on "Housing Court, Tenant Rights and Affordable Housing Opportunities."  Special thanks to the Hon. Cheryl Gonzales, Housing Court Judge and the Pratt Area Community Council (PACC) for the information they provided.

- Rev. - Community Board #2 is pleased to announce the latest  Affordable Housing Opportunity in Fort Greene. Applications are now being accepted for 63 affordable housing rental apartments now under construction at 66 Rockwell Place, also known as 29 Flatbush Avenue, where Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn meet.  Visit here for more information. 

 

- On Saturday, April 13th, PACC is giving out 200 FREE Trees! Individuals, families and community groups within NYC are eligible to receive a tree for planting on private property only. Trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies run out. Simple tree planting and care instructions come with your free tree. All you need is a place to plant it and access to water. Go to www.nyrp.org/brooklyntrees to reserve your tree in advance.
