Brooklyn Nets, Brooklyn Youth Come Together To Paint Atlantic Avenue Mural

The mural project was facilitated by Groundswell, which designs projects that are painted by underrepresented groups.

Brooklyn Nets employees teamed up with Groundswell – an organization that helps artists, youth and communities use art as social change – to paint a mural at the Atlantic Avenue underpass between Hicks and Columbia.

The beautification project is part of Groundswell’s Summer Leadership Institute, a summer program that employs about 100 young people ages 14 to 24 to create eight works of art in all five boroughs.

Check out what some of the project’s participants had to say.
