My dog brims over with confidence

And may well think that I am dense.

He tried to teach me a canine sentence

But quickly gave in to repentance.

Still, Bandy's sure I'm good at games

Or such is what he often declaims.

When someone in the park hurled a ball

And followed up with a "Fetch that!" call

He didn't hesitate or sweat it,

Just motioned me to run and get it.
