Verse Responder: Finally Cool

For the first time in my life I'm hip,

A fashion plate, a plate of Cool Whip,

And it came about accidentally

Without the merest effort from me,

And best of all (and hence I'm raving)

It took so little--I stopped shaving!

While stopping started ages ago,

Only now's it something about which to crow.

Who could ever have imagined grizzled

One day would be considered sizzled

Or that personal neglect would prove no trouble

But instead result in Hollywood stubble?

At last a place in the with-it book,

All thanks to the current hirsute look.
