Yeti + The Blackberry Brandies + Cuervo Jones + DecaDence @ The Way Station

8pm- Yeti
Genre: Indie-rock / dream-punk
For fans of:  Sleater-Kinney, The Cranberries, Fugazi

Yeti is bass-driven philosophical dream-punk with cute killer harmonies. This New York-based trio reeks of feral femininity, fermenting in the forgotten woods of Staten Island. Their music fuses Sleater-Kinney sensibilities with The Cranberries’ emotional power. Yeti can be found playing at various venues throughout the New York City area, or in very cold, dark, remote caverns from which few have ever returned.

9pm- The Blackberry Brandies
Genre: Americana
For fans of: Rock, Americana, Country Mojo

Bettina Schelker - superwoman, singer/songwriter, political activist and former Swiss National Boxing Champion, with an exceptional reputation far beyond the Swiss borders.

Thomas Baumgartner – rock rebel with over 20 years of international experience in the genre of loud guitar music (Erotic Jesus Undergod, Gurd).

Together they're The Blackberry Brandies. Two musical heavyweights on a common path - a more than explosive combination! As unusual as if Tracy Chapman and Lynyrd Skynyrd would share the same stage together...

Tracks-Magazine:
Definitely, the Blackberry Brandies are a great (live) band with road dust on their boots and a lot of feeling in and between the lines. The Blackberry Brandies are more of an urgent recommendation to all friends of music with soul, lot of guitar, Americana and southern rock, than an insider tip!

TagesWoche-Newspaper:
Chords, heavy as a semi-trailer... insistant, snappy as a hot desert wind. Schelker and Baumgartner merge where they come closest to a down to earth heat-shimmering Rootsrock, whose range includes the fragile song as a powerful thunder roll.

A declaration of love - life, certainly, but above all on the myths of this tradition-safe rock.

10pm- Cuervo Jones
Who is Cuervo Jones?
Combining catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and powerful guitar, this dance punk power trio exploded on NYC scene in 2013. Pulling from the best of their favorite bands: the Ramones, Arctic Monkeys, and the Strokes, Cuervo Jones will be in your head long after the last cymbal crash and barre chord have faded out into the night.

11pm- DecaDence
Genre: World/Reggae/French
For fans of: ??? World/reggae/French, DANCING
Dahlia Dumont and her band DecaDence play reggae sultry ballads, tango, samba, and more in both French and English. The music brings out the different faces of the accordion, with French, Argentine, and TexMex influences fused in. The band hails from France, Argentina, Japan, California, south Texas, and beloved Brooklyn, and each member brings their own to their groovy, and thought-provoking sound.
