Mia Barkan Clarke is an artist, art therapist, and poet residing on Long Island, NY. She is the author of Tea with Nana, paintings and poems, and Sacred Circle Mandala Journal (both published by Cross-Cultural Communications). Mia’s poetry and art have been published in a many magazines: (American) Lips, The Paterson Literary Review, Rattle; (Welsh) The Seventh Quarry, and (Israeli) Cyclamens and Swords. Her paintings have also been internationally exhibited.
 
Stanley H. Barkan is the editor/publisher of Cross-Cultural Communications, which, since 1971, has produced some 400 titles in 55 languages.  His own work has been published in 15 collections, some bilingual (Bulgarian, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Sicilian). His latest collection is ABC of Fruits and Vegetables, with illustrations by his daughter, Mia Barkan Clarke.  He was NYC’s 1991 Poetry Teacher of the Year, awarded by the Board of Education and Poets House, the winner of the Small Press Center’s 1996 Poor Richard’s Award, “the Best of the Small Presses,” and the 2011 recipient of the PLR Lifetime Service to Literature Award.


Michael Graves is the author of Adam and Cain (Black Buzzard, 2006), In Fragility (Black Buzzard, 2011) and two chapbooks, Illegal Border Crosser (Cervana Barva, 2008) and Outside St. Jude’s (R. E. M. Press, 1990).  In two thousand four (2004), he received a grant of four thousand five hundred dollars ($4,500.00) from the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation. Thirteen (13) of his poems appear in the James Joyce Quarterly. He has read from his poems to a gathering of the Joyce Society at the Gotham Book Mart in New York City.
