12am- Ray Cashman
For fans of: Tony Joe White, JJ Cale, Townes Vanzandt, old blues artist
Genre: American folk/blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter from Nashville, TN.

My music draws deeply. from the blues, American folk music, modern poets and philosophers. Since 2000, I have issued a host of recordings of consistently high quality. 2007's Texassippi Stomp, produced by Jimbo Mathus made the Grammy nominating ballot for best traditional blues album.

"Raw and rough in the very best uses of the words; it is primal and in a sense savage, coarse, unpolished, and yet sincere and honest. The music is a melting pot of swamp, Cajun, psychedelic, Preservation Hall jazz, some punk in there too for good measure. It is an interesting hodge-podge of music and the band behind Ray Cashman fits right in there. If you are looking for the polish and smoothness of a Lyle Lovett or Yvette Landry or even Steve Riley - no. This is the un-adulterated mash up of a man/band that plays with passion and feeling and honesty and subtly be damned". Bob Gottlieb - Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange

Rough & Tumble South is a genuine diamond in the blues world. This is a strong, strong recording. Paul Swashbuckl - country chorus blog
