Patrick Dunn + Jim Petrie + Rocket '88 + Jon LaDeau + Paul Anthony Band @ The Way Station

7pm- Patrick Dunn
Genre: Americana
For fans of: Bob Dylan, Justin Townes Earle, The Band, Ray Lamontagne

Patrick Dunn is of and from the places he has called home; he is all at once a product of New York, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, New York, California, and New York (Brooklyn, currently). What does this have to do with the music? For one, the songs trace the American landscape with a connection to its long line of storytellers. In this tradition, we find the old soul, the rambler, the traveling singer and songwriter finding his place in the ever-growing timeline of honest music.

“Patrick’s niche for storytelling is well-honed; his music is raw, and the dichotomy of sad solemness with ardent fervor in his voice brings the listener back in time. His music summons images of heading out west- to find a better life, to escape, to chase a dream....
His music has a connective quality- connective to other human beings, the human condition and experiences.”
-Rachel McFarland, Life Is Awesome

“Standout performers included Patrick Dunn, whose pacing made his songs heartwringers....”
-Dan Barry, The Hartford Advocate

New York Music Daily
[...]An adept blues guitarist…distantly ominous[...]

The Deli Magazine
[...]At times, his voice recalls the George Harrison from ‘All Things Must Pass’, a rocker who still understands the roots of his sound.[...]

Lonesome Highway
[...]Jon LaDeau has a voice that is a distinctive enough presence, there are hints of a young Neil Young.

11pm- Paul Anthony Band
Genre: Americana Rock

The Paul Anthony band is an energetic entertaining trio who symbiotically combine melody and groove fashioning a soundscape that implies a 5-piece band.  The band is comprised of three veteran players: Patrick Ben on drums, Tom Fizpatrick on bass/background vocals, and Paul Anthony on lead and rhythm guitar.  Bluesy guitar licks sway above the powerful pounding of Pat's aggressive style while Tom walks the low end around the tones implied by Paul's guitar work.  On top of all of this are memorable melodies dressed in sometimes ambiguous poetry allowing for the listener to find his/her own truths in the lyrics.  From rock through blues and into swing, the Paul Anthony Band's passion and joy of playing pervade every performance. www.reverbnation.com/paulanthonysongs
