Max Caddy + The Dazzling Dooms + The Sometime Boys @ The Way Station

8pm- Max Caddy
Genre: Acoustic Blues/Folk
For fans of: blues, Americana, singersongwriters, and soul

Max Caddy may have the blues, but that's good news for their audience. The New York-based acoustic duo pairs the souring soulful vocals of Corina Corina with Jesse O'Neill's licking guitar picking. Merging sounds from the Bay to the Hudson, songwriting partners Corina and Jesse bring a wide range of influences and experiences to their collaboration, breaking new ground while drawing from the roots of the music that gets them up in the morning. Max Caddy has toured halfway across the country promoting its debut EP, “Caddy Track’s.”  The effort provides a snapshot of a burgeoning group, and a promise of inspired material to come.

9pm- The Dazzling Dooms
Genre: Alternative Rock
For fans of: All types of music...

The Dazzling Dooms have an edgy, gritty rock and roll sound. With deep distorted low-end from bassist Mark Gerlach, the wailing vocals and guitar sounds from singer Alex Leung and the Bonham-like beats from drummer Philipp Thier, The Dooms are one of the most dynamic acts currently performing in NYC. Their influences span the gamut, but are mostly honed on 80s and 90s rock. The band generally stands out on a lineup for having a unique sound that blends genres, emotion and raw energy.

10pm- The Sometime Boys
Genre: Americana (folk/country/bluegrass/blues)
For fans of: Joni Mitchell, Iron & Wine, Nick Drake, Loretta Lynn, Jorma Kaukonen

Founded in 2010 by vocalist Sarah Mucho and guitarist Kurt Leege, The Sometime Boys have quickly leapt to the forefront of the urban roots music scene in New York. Featuring succinct songwriting, they blend elements of bluegrass, country, folk, gospel and zydeco into a unique, refreshing Americana sound. Framing the elegance of MAC award winning vocalist Sarah Mucho is an intricate canvas of violin, guitar and keyboard brushstrokes and a soulful rhythm section that won't quit. After recording their debut album, 'Any Day Now' in 2010, The Sometime Boys added Pete O'Connell on upright bass, Jay Cowit on drums and Rebecca Weiner Tompkins on violin and have since been tearing it up on the New York music scene.
