10pm- Emily Danger
Genre:  Dark cabaret rock
For fans of:  Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Jeff Buckley, Florence and the Machine

Emily Danger is a dark cabaret rock band from Brooklyn.  They combine haunting melodies & vulnerable lyrics with orchestral, heavy and often dissonant arrangements.  They recently toured throughout the US and Canada, released their debut EP, “Paintings” to widespread critical acclaim, and were featured artists on WFMU.  Their disturbing, yet beautiful music video for “Shed My Skin” can be seen on Youtube here:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHdRGJm2pbY.  They love dancing, tiny ponies, whiskey, and talkin’ trash.

"A band blessed with talent for creating a dramatic sound that supports and gives a perfect platform for a voice so dynamic and soaring in its ability to move you with beautiful tones to a full almost angry vocal performance…" ("Indie Dunes")

“Emily Danger pushes the definition of indie rock while providing a one-of-a-kind listening experience. The world has yet to be exposed to music so richly unique and layered with talent.” (“Lemonade Magazine”)

11pm- Peter Wise
Genre: Rock/folk
For fans of: Bon Iver, Jeff Buckley, John Mayer, Radiohead

Originally hailing from suburban Massachusetts, Peter Wise (ASCAP) is a senior jazz major at NYU, an avid singer/songwriter, and actively performing musician in New York City. Studying guitar and piano for over sixteen years in various styles, he brings a wide variety of influences including John Mayer, Bon Iver, Joni Mitchell, and Radiohead into his own blend of pop/rock music.  Playing all over the city from Webster Hall, Sullivan Hall, The Bitter End and a frequent player at Arlene’s Grocery, Wise had a weekly Saturday night residency at Toshi's Living Room at the Flatiron Hotel on 26th and Broadway this past year. As both an instrumentalist and songwriter, Wise is starting to make his name known.  Last year he opened for one of America’s most iconic bands, The Eagles, at a sold out Beacon Theatre on November 15th, an event featured in national news by the Associated Press, the New York Times, and the Washington Post.  Wise released his debut EP Don’t Walk Away on October 20th of last year and spent the summer putting together his full-length debut entitled When Day Breaks, out this past November.  Wise held his album release party at a packed Bitter End, and is getting his name out there one show at a time!
