Community Corner

Junket for Change Annual Fundraiser

Please join us on Saturday, December 7, 2013 for Junket's annual fundraiser at People Meet Hall in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Come and sample local Brooklyn cuisine, win a raffle item and watch our youth members showcase their talents through spoken word and poetry!

Junket is a
Brooklyn-based non-profit mentoring group for youth in and aging out of the NYC
foster care system.  At Junket, our mission is
to establish consistent, positive relationships with youth, involve them in the community in creative ways, and empower them to use
their skills to initiate and sustain a community-based project of their choice.

At last year's fundraiser, we launched Junket Designs, a small
business designing and selling inspirational T-shirts and tote bags, and donated profits to a well building project in Ethiopia. The
proceeds from this year's fundraiser will help continue the well building project,
provide capital for new projects, and help keep the lights
on at Junket!
