His influences range from Mississippi John Hurt to the Carter Family to Townes Van Zandt. His piedmont style picking infused with modern lyrics brings fresh perspective on traditional stylings. His music often attempts to illustrate the New York experience while taking the audience on a roller coaster ride of love, sex, the bottle, and the blues that follows.
