Vette + An Evening with Kelli Scarr @ The Way Station

8pm- Vette's voice has traveled a long road of study: classical voice, musical theater, jazz performance, alt pop bands and a degree from the Berklee College of Music, to end up here - hypnotic, strong, stripped down, sincere. Her three EP releases travel from highly produced pop projects - the edgy, sensual, "Vette," and the flirty, strong girl, dance-pop, "15 Minutes" (a collaboration with Markaholic) - to the lush, organic, "Wonderlust" co-written and produced with Rob Giles. Revealed through this sonic trajectory is Vette's own unraveling of herself from tough and smart, to vulnerable and true.

Vette's voice is like the time-traveling purr of Margo Timmins meeting the sexual-power and attitude of Deborah Harry. Her ability to craft perfect songs makes her a real, rare force to be reckoned with...(Rob Giles of "The Rescues")

Influenced by folk-rock writers like John Hiatt, Jackson Browne and John Prine, Jim's music draws on this tradition of Americana while maintaining a strong modern sound. His themes of home, family, and longing are woven together to form narratives about life, love, and survival.
