A Brief View of the Hudson + Rob Paravonian + Brooklyn Jazz Warriors @ The Way Station

8pm- A Brief View of the Hudson
Folk duo A Brief View of the Hudson was started a decade ago by Canadian Nicholas Nace & Texan Ann Enzminger. Mixing beautiful harmonies with soulful melodies, they have played all over New York City and toured Europe. Their new CD Querencia was just released in January, 2013 and they appear in the concert film Tell Your Friends! The Concert Film!, released December 2012.

9pm- Rob Paravonian

Described as 'some deranged bastard child of Tom Lehrer and Joan Baez,' Rob Paravonian mixes laugh-out-loud lyrics with sharp songwriting and solid musicianship. Known the world over for his Pachelbel Rant, Rob has opened for George Carlin, Lily Tomlin, and has performed throughout the country.

10pm- Brooklyn Jazz Warriors

Blurring the lines between musical styles, cultures, and genres,  the Brooklyn Jazz Warriors channel the infectious pulse of New York City’s most creative and musical borough, with a firm root in Crescent City funk, rock and soul.  Their recently recorded debut album, "In Service of the King" draws upon the talents of a diverse group of musicians, representing scenes spanning from East Village Rock to downtown Salsa, New Orleans Second Line to West Village Folk, and features the legendary Brian Stoltz of  the Funky Meters, Neville Brothers, and Bob Dylan Band.
