Whether you''re new to the yoga practice, back from a yoga break, or have an established practice, this class is designed to nourish our Beginners Mind, that place where "I know" is set aside for awhile and a fresh perspective and sense of curiosity are encouraged. Each week the teacher will focus on specific building blocks designed to support you and your practice as it grows.

First Sundays: What is Yoga? This week''s theme will vary, but will serve as a general introduction: What is vinyasa? What is a sun solution? What are the sutras, etc.

Second Sundays: Alignment in the Standing Poses.

Third Sundays: Yoga Therapeutics, Focusing on Different Areas of the Body, this class will guide you to develop a smart, mindful asana practice that prevents injuries and, if you already have them, how to work safely with them through to recovery.

Sunday January 20th

Got a Pain in the Neck? with HanaKyle
Learn about the function and anatomy of your neck, and apply these details to your body in an asana practice with a focus on stabilizing and strengthening. Though the weight of the head is considerable, we'll practice movements to relieve pain, stretch safely, and find some lightness in the neck and upper back. The ergonomics of daily life will be addressed, along with any injuries, especially spinal disc herniations.

Fourth Sundays: No Class. This time will be held for special workshops and Community Gatherings.
