For fans of:  Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Carol King, Rickie Lee Jones and Aimee Mann

With her honest rich songwriting and soothing musical melodies, songstress Jenni Alpert's haunting, powerful, and sultry voice has gained the respect of fans and music tastemakers worldwide (AOL music). Her emotionally driven, jazzy soulful songs blend modern day pop influences with favorites Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Carol King, Rickie Lee Jones and Aimee Mann. All encompassing, Jenni Alpert is a unique web of eclectic soul pop.

No stranger to a busy schedule, Alpert has independently performed in over 14 countries and her music has been featured on major Network Television shows including Castle (ABC), CSI Miami (CBS) The Real World, Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant (MTV). As a UCLA Graduate, Alpert was one of the first vocalists to complete legendary Jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell's four year Ethnomusicology Jazz program. Live, Alpert has supported veteran touring artists such as Loudon Wainwright III and Luka Bloom both in the US and in Europe. Upon releasing a few independent albums on itunes, Alpert was selected to record her song Untied by The Sunset Sessions for PBS at Sun Studios in Memphis, TN, recording home of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Howlin Wolf, and B. B. King. While touring internationally, an Italian vinyl label (Cappuccino Records), recorded and released a collection of acoustic performances live in Italy which is now available worldwide on Amazon.

“Powerful sultry vocals … interactive style grabs audience …has an amazing stage presence”

“Lilting yet biting vocal delivery, in a genre of music that has been steadily probed since Bob Dylan and Joan Baez, the very capable guitar style of Alpert herself grabs listeners attention more effectively, wonderful tunes and some very talented musicianship”

8pm- Lara Ewen
Genre: Americana
For fans of: Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, John Prine, Shawn Colvin

Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Lara Ewen tells stories, most of which are true. The semi-autobiographical nature of her work blends both the real and the imagined, and the musical landscape she navigates dips into country, Americana, and singer/songwriter influences, drawing comparisons to musicians who sometimes get summarily lumped into the folk category, such as Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams and Jonatha Brooke.

"A series of subtle and moving character studies of people who we will all recognize, all were. Classy and accomplished." - Jeremy Searle, Maverick Magazine

"A musically purist, cleverly lyrical mix of some of the best things happening in Americana right now." - New York Music Daily

"Melancholy songs that showcase Lara’s authentic and wistful songwriting sensibilities."- Richard Fulco, RiffRaf

"A tremendously talented singer/songwriter on the NYC country music scene." - Shannon Brown, Outlaw Magazine

Genre: Original Acoustic American Roots Music
For fans of: Bluegrass, The Band, The Stanley Brothers, CSNY, Walt Whitman

Original songs of redemption and hope, featuring farmers, sailors, dancers, fathers, lovers, Abraham Lincoln and The Knights Templar. Denizens of Brooklyn's South Slope, the Cornell Bros. (Not brothers in fact, but brothers in music) have been playing NYC for three years, developing their soulful take on founder and songwriter Greg Cornell's tunes, with tight vocal harmonies in front. Many instruments will show up at their gigs: fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, harmonica, sometimes lap steel and piano, as well as a pared down drum kit that helps them rock and roll. They bring energy and joy to their musical sojourn.

Combining catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and powerful guitar, this dance punk power trio exploded on NYC scene in 2013. Pulling from the best of their favorite bands: the Ramones, Arctic Monkeys, and the Strokes, Cuervo Jones will be in your head long after the last cymbal crash and barre chord have faded out into the night.
