8pm- Michael Sackler-Berner
Genre: Singer/Songwriter
For fans of: Tom Petty, Paolo Nutini, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen

Born and raised in New York, based in Brooklyn, Michael Sackler-Berner is a singer-songwriter with roots in the past, and a sound very much in tune with the present. Sackler-Berner has licensed over a dozen original songs for use in network and cable television programming.  Shows that have featured his music include FX’s Sons of Anarchy, NBC’s Law & Order, and ABC’s The Lying Game. Sackler-Berner's body of work is unified by his bittersweet voice, paired with a lyrical economy and an expressive feel for pop dynamics.  The songs, whether ballads or uptempo, are constructed with a delicate sense of emotional momentum. As a solo artist Sackler-Berner can be heard in such New York venues as Joe's Pub, Mercury Lounge, The Living Room, Rockwood, The Bitter End, as well as at The Stephen Talkhouse on the East End.

"A young songwriter with an old soul.  This young Brooklyn transplant's songs can recall folk forefathers like Cat Stevens and James Taylor, but he tempers his influences with a winsome, playful charm that's all his own." -- Ashley Peter, Beacon Pass

"An impressive young talent that has it all. Great lyrics, good voice, and excellent guitar work." -- Blue Note CEO, Bruce Lundvall

"A game changer." -- David Kahne, Grammy winning producer of Paul McCartney, The Strokes, Regina Spektor

"Sackler-Berner, who's been compared to Jason Mraz and Ray LaMontagne, among others, consistently crafts infectious, high-energy pop songs, with thoughtful lyrics and layers of inventive musical emotion." -- Huffington Post

9pm- George Gilmore
Genre: Folk, Singer/songwriter
For fans of: Nick Lowe, Leonard Cohen, Justin Townes Earle, Kris Kristofferson

This New York City veteran singer/songwriter/guitar slinger has been a mainstay on the Americana/roots-rock scene for over two decades. His latest (I am a Weed) finds him in great form on these (lucky) 13 tunes exploring the journey of life with and without love, accompanied by an able stable of well-known Big Apple players. Tops for me is his gospel-fueled offering "The Good Lord Smote My Eye."
