Brett Williams + Alex Mallett + Allegra + Caitlin Claessens @ The Way Station

8pm- Brett Williams
Genre: Alternative Rock
For fans of: John Mayer The Killers

My music reflects the experiences in life I've had this far as well as my quest for the fundamental truth in this world. I have been writing and playing out as much as possible, meeting great people along the way. I hope listening to my music will make you want to think, explore yourself and everything around you.

9pm- Alex Mallett

For Alex Mallett, a love of storytelling and folk music began with his father. Enchanted by stories of ghosts, lost loves and generations past, Alex picked up the banjo at the age of nine. As a teenager, he experimented with electrified instruments and studied jazz and classical bass in Montreal. He played lots of cocktail gigs and in indie rock bands but it was the spirit of the stories his father told that brought him back to the banjo. He began writing songs from his own life,  candid and witty, with bittersweet punch lines that expound on personal mysteries, or simply make you want to sing along (and audiences often do.) With Nico Dann on drums, Alan Biller on bass and a host of merry special guests, The Alex Mallett Band bring a special warmth to stage and record that will leave you wanting more.

11pm- Caitlin Claessens
Genre: funky-folk, singer-songwriter
For fans of: Joni Mitchell, Jenny Lewis, Dala.

Caitlin Claessens moved to New York City from her native Ontario two years ago, and has been singing for her supper ever since. Her voice can be heard in commercials, music classes for children, and live performances including her favorite venue in the city: the subway platform. Her music is filled with quirky lyrics and catchy melodies, held together by Caitlin's beautiful voice and unique
tin-can banjo ukulele.

"I love hearing you play in the subway. Your music and voice are just perfect. It makes my day. I'm sure the world will be hearing a lot from you. You are very talented." - From a listener of a subway performance.
