In Prospect Heights, Zipcar is no longer the only game in car sharing.
Enterprise has opened a CarShare location on St. Johns Place and Classon Avenue, just over the border in Crown Heights.
Enterprise Car Share rates are lower Than Zipcar with the first year's membership fee waived and just $25 application fee. (Zipcar's rates also have a $25 application fee but cost $60 or more a year.)
Hourly rates at Enterprise start at $8 while rates at Zipcar begin at $8.25 an hour.
Enterprise also promises newer cars as well as a wider variety.
