Update on the Nor’easter Headed to NYC

Expect 1 to 2 inches of snow in Brooklyn Wednesday night.

 

Prospect Heights should get some snow Wednesday night, thanks to a Nor’easter headed this way.

According to the National Weather Service, there will be rain before 10 p.m., then snow with a low of around 33 degrees. It’ll be windy, with a north wind 26 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 47 mph. There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation. The total nighttime snow accumulation should be around 1 to 2 inches.

On Thursday, the NWS says we should expect snow. It’ll be cloudy, with a high near 39 degrees with a north wind blowing 24 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation with new snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Thursday night should also bring snow with lows around 32 degrees. It’ll be breezy, with a north wind 18 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Friday there will be snow before 1 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow with a high near 40. It’ll be breezy again, with a north wind around 22 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation with new snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

By Saturday, it’ll be 51 degrees and sunny.
