UPDATE: Emergency Gas Reserved for First Responders

After crowds flooded the mobile fueling stations Saturday, state officials told public to wait for emergency vehicles to fill up first.

After crowds flooded the mobile fueling stations Saturday, the state Division of Military and Naval Affairs issued an advisory asking the public to keep away from the pumps until emergency vehicles could fill up, according to the Wall Street Journal

New York is about to get some much-needed gasoline, according to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's official Twitter account.

Free gas will be available through temporary fuel trucks that are being deployed across the five boroughs and Long Island, according to the New York Post.

While this will come as a relief to NYC motorists, the supplies will be limited. 

The press release says in part: "The 5,000 gallon trucks will be deployed throughout the morning and there are an additional 150,000 gallons of fuel available to restock the trucks throughout the day. There is a 10 gallon limit per vehicle. Cars can fill up directly off of the truck."
