The Barclays Center is beginning to take shape, its steel frame rising up behind the blue wall encasing Atlantic Yards development. For the first time, the shape of the basketball arena that developer Bruce Ratner hopes to open for the 2012-2013 season is clearly visible.
Every month, we'll take a look at the progress the work crews are making. As the Barclays Center and the rest of the development rise along neighborhood’s border, we'll take note as each beam is raised each wall is erected and each building demolished.
