5 Things You Need to Know Today: Q Train Not Running, Kat Mulvaney, Affordable Theater, More

Prospect Heights information and events you won't want to miss.

1. You need theater. If you can afford the $25 to $70 tickets see "" at BAM (see our review coming out at 7:30 a.m. today). If you can't, or just want something more serious, head to the , 729 Carroll St. at Seventh Avenue in Park Slope for , which tells the story of Dr. Frankenstein's female counterpart. 8 p.m., $18; $15 students/seniors.

2. You need to relax. At the , 837 Union St., at Seventh Avenue, Singer-songwriter Kat Mulvaney will bring her breathy voice and original lyrics to the Tea Lounge. She will also play guitar, and will be joined by Kieran Mulvaney on bass and vocals, Don Mulvaney on drums and vocals, and Matt Sargent on lead guitar and vocals. No cover. 9 p.m.

3. You need to get your teen to the library. How about some chess? There's , for both beginner and advanced players every Friday afternoon. , Youth Wing, Teen Reading Room, 4-5 p.m. Free.

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. With temperatures predicted to reach the upper 60s, it's a great day to head to the Prospect Park Zoo, where kids can see , the and more. Not to be missed is Sea Lion Feeding at 11:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., & 4:00 p.m. Or, see .

5. You need to know if your train is running, and if you have to move the car. Maybe and yes. If you're thinking of the 2/3/4/5 line you're fine. But there is from 11:30 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday. There's a shuttle bus connecting Prospect Park, Seventh Avenue and Atlantic, where you can catch the N to the city. And yes you have to move your car. There's an alternate side suspension Sunday for Purim, but we're not sure who that would help. The next one is Passover on April 19-20 according to the NYC DOT .
