5 Things You Need to Know: Cookbooks, Bingo and More

What you need to know to start your Thursday off right.

1. You need to learn some new recipes. Prospect Heights resident and Patch contributor : “Cook This Now: 120 Easy and Delectable Dishes You Can't Wait to Make,” at 7:30 p.m. at Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton Street.

2. You need to stamp your board and win big. will host their weekly “,” starting at 7 p.m. with corn dog, PBR, and Mountain Dew slushie specials.

3. You need to learn something new about mummies. Brooklyn Museum will lead a gallery tour starting at 8 p.m.

4. You need to get the kids singing. Dean Street will host a family sing-a-long featuring Lloyd of the Deedle Deedle Dees at 10:30 a.m.; $5 per family. Be sure to check out our weekly for a full list of great family-friendly activities in the neighborhood, too.

5. You need to know how to get around. There are no planned service changes to subway lines running through Prospect Heights. Alternate side parking rules are in effect, though.
