5 Things You Need to Know: Biking, Karaoke and More

What you need to know to start your Friday off right.

It's almost the weekend! Here's what you need today.

1. You need to celebrate your right to bike. Critical Mass will be at 7 p.m. for a ride. Celebrate cycling, and maybe meet some new friends.

2. You need to sing. Union Hall in Park Slope will host , “a karaoke dance party for people who never thought they'd like karaoke,” at midnight.

3. You need to go back in time. will host , with musical performances by The Wandering Cellist and Painless Parker, belly-dancing and mimes; 8-11 p.m. By donation.

5. You need to know if your train is running. There will be no Q trains between 57 Street and Ditmars Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The N train will provide alternate service, according to the MTA. From 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., there will be no 4 trains between Atlantic Avenue and Utica Avenue. The 3 train will provide alternate service, according to the MTA.
