5 Things: Max Wild at BAM, Holler at Way Station, No Q Train All Weekend, More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

1. You need to hear some music, free music. Prospect Heights is full of it tonight, with  starting at 8,  at 9 and, very near Prospect Heights,  at 10:30. All free. 

2. You need to get to the movies, but you have to watch the kids. Take them to  Tonight's selection is "Ponyo," which a P.S. 9 parent describes as a "life-affirming film completely devoid of cynicism." 80 Underhill Ave. 6 p.m. $5 includes a bag of organic popcorn. Proceeds go to P.S. 9, of course.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. If you're looking for a sing-along, grab the Q train to Parkside Avenue (or the Flatbush Ave. bus) for a Sing-Along with Lloyd at Play Kids, 676 Flatbush Ave., bet. Hawthorne and Winthrop. 10 a.m., $5/family.

4. You need to know if your train is running ... No planned service changes today, but the will be no Q-train all weekend north of Prospect Park. Instead, take the shuttle bus at Seventh Avenue to Atlantic (or walk) and get the N or R trains to the city, according to the MTA.

5. ... And if you have to move your car. You do, but after that you're good until Tuesday, because alternate side will be suspended on Monday, Jan. 23 for the Asian Lunar New Year, according to the NYCDOT.
