2. On Saturday, Jan. 26, head to LARK Cafe to learn CPR with Ron Piretti, who has taught CPR for over 10 years and is certified by the American Heart Association. The class will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. and costs $45. RSVP to kari@larkcafe.com by Jan. 23. While the instructor is certified, note that this is a non-certified course.

Head to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on Saturday, Jan. 26 for "Illumination Celebration," a one day winter festival featuring such events as a hand-stand workshop for grown-ups, lantern-making for families and a moonlight lantern walk with giant puppets and stilt dancers.
