New 4-wk sessions of Science Saturdays!

Science Saturdays is a 4-week, inquiry-based program for young scientists age 5 to 7. Each week focuses on a specific theme that is presented through hands-on exploration. Our new sessions start May 31st!

Build It! Workshop
May 31st 10am to 12pm
Explore the laws of motion through hands-on exploration that involves the building of working items such as cars and hovercrafts. Your young engineer will be provided with all the tools and support to create their own invention.

The Scientific Method
June 7th 10am to 12pm
Apply critical thinking skills and perform experiments just like a real scientist. We will ask questions, make a hypothesis, and design experiments to help reach a result.

Anatomy Detectives
June 14th 10am to 12pm
Through hands-on exploration, learn what makes living things unique. This session will include a fish dissection and hands-on exploration of living things. We will compare and contrast body systems in an effort to better understand our own biology.

Slimology
June 21st 10am to 12pm
Not all polymers are created equal. Learn about the properties of slime and create different variations of this fun semi-solid. Not only is slime ooey and gooey, its also a non-Newtonian solid!
