New York Mag Loves Washington Avenue’s Newcomers

A slew of recently opened bars, shops and restaurants get a shout out from the magazine over the weekend.

Looks like New York Magazine just discovered Prospect Heights, giving a shout out some great recently opened shops, bars and restaurants along Washington Avenue this weekend. Of course, it’s not news that Washington has been thriving for some time now, but it’s nice to get some recognition, right?

The magazine lauds “smoked-herring brunches and homemade red-velvet cake,” and placards with musical pairings for each bottle of wine.

The article calls new bars “hospitable,” and “a community gathering spot,” even going so far as to call “nirvana” for beer aficionados.
