Kristin Hanson Fine Jewelry School Moves To Tribeca

After five years on St. Marks Avenue, Hanson has moved the school to a larger space in Tribeca, leaving the building vacant.

After five years on St. Marks Avenue, the has moved to Tribeca.

"We found an amazing new space in Tribeca," said the owner, Kristin Hanson.  "It has four floors. We have the school, a studio and now a store - which is an exciting new facet of the business."

The school occupied 227 St. Marks Ave. since 2006, offering a range of fine jewelry making classes for beginners and advanced students.  Students of all levels worked side-by-side in a  community environment.

The business was also a studio and gallery for Hanson's own designs.  

The Prospect Heights location closed its doors on March 1, 2011.

Hanson, who is a resident of Tribeca, moved her business to 60 Reade St., opening its doors on May 1, 2011.

"I miss Prospect Park being so close, but Battery Park has the water," Hanson said.
