Free Burritos For Furloughed Federal Employees!

Tacqueria offering deal to workers temporarily laid off during government shutdown.

Things have gotten pretty tough for federal employees this week. With the government shut down, they're essentially in limbo, unsure if they'll get paid for all these unexpected and un-asked for days off.

But if you're a furloughed federal employee who also loves Mexican food, things are looking up!

Cochinita in Clinton Hill is offering a free burrito for furloughed government workers, according to their Twitter feed.

It's certainly a nice gesture, and likely appreciated by federal employees with suddenly a lot of free time and not a ton of money to spend.

No word on what the limit is with regard to how much you can put on one burrito. I'm sure it's a little tempting to get a portion of your grocery shopping done by just having them cram a ton of raw veggies in there, and wrapping it up "to go."

Any other places around town offering a similar deal? Let us know in the comments.
