Healthy Eating: Successful Strategies for Busy Lives
In this workshop, go beyond the basics of nutrition to discuss the idea of primary foods, in which we are nourished by more than just the diet we consume. Exercise, relationships, career, and spiritual practice also need to be considered for total health to result. We will study the arguments behind eating locally grown food in-season, and learn when organic is a must and when it's a maybe. And we will focus on meal planning techniques that have been successful with real people, and how to make them part of your weekly routine. You'll go home with some valuable hand-outs for healthy shopping, building a natural foods pantry, and plenty of seasonal recipes to get you started!
