Artisanal Mayo Shop Coming to Vanderbilt Avenue
Empire Mayonnaise Co. will move into their first storefront on Vanderbilt, between Dean and Bergen streets.
Empire Mayonnaise Co., who won over fans at Smorgasburg and the Brooklyn Flea over the summer, will soon be moving into their first storefront at 564 Vanderbilt Avenue, between Dean and Bergen streets, reports Brownstoner.
According to the blog, construction has finished, and the owners are just waiting for their paperwork to be processed.
Empire is helmed by former WD-50 pastry chef Sam Mason (also the owner of Lady Jay’s bar in Williamsburg, and former host of IFC’s “Dinner With the Band”) and designer Elizabeth Valleau, who “came up with the idea while enjoying some lime mayonnaise in a restaurant,” says their Facebook page.
